Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

MEMBERS OF BETA PI COME FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS AND HAVE MANY UNIQUE INTERESTS. DELTA SIGMA PI PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ITS MEMBERS TO IMPROVE THEIR PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, BUILD LASTING FRIENDSHIPS, AND SERVE THEIR COMMUNITY. WE ORGANIZE FRATERNITY EVENTS LOCALLY AND TRAVEL TO ATTEND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND FRATERNITY-BASED CONFERENCES.

Brothers in Delta Sigma Pi call each other "Brothers" because members form such close bonds and often spend a lot of time together. Brothers soon consider themselves similar to a family. "Brotherhoods" are social gatherings where Brothers meet and friendships begin.
RECENT SOCIAL EVENTS INCLUDE: THEMED SOCIALS, FORMALS/DATE PARTIES, PARENTS BANQUET, INTRAMURAL SPORTS TEAMS, AND SEASONAL EVENTS
Beta Pi is deeply rooted in its efforts toward social responsibility. The Fraternity designates national service initiatives, which currently are Ronald McDonald House Charities® and Make A Difference Day. The chapter continues to practice service year-round by organizing projects on and around campus.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR MEMBERSHIP IN DELTA SIGMA PI AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY YOU MUST BE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING MAJORS:
HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATION
* NON-BUSINESS MAJORS REQUIRE A BUSINESS MINOR
*MUST HAVE MINIMUM 3 SEMESTERS REMAINING PRIOR TO GRADUATION TO BE ELIGIBLE
*MINIMUM 2.5 GPA
Individual Pledge Obligations:
- Attend Once Weekly Pledge Meetings:
- Weekly Quizzes & One Final Test
- Participate in at Least 1 Community service event.
- Interview Current Brothers (Requirements Vary)
- Attend at least 3 Chapter Meetings.
Pledge Class Obligations:
- Organize at Least 1 Professional Activity/Speaker
- Organize the Biannual Bake Sale (Fundraiser)
